Can you use a good sunscreen? I have those freeze-burn pre-cancer thingies too. I hate the stinging all day and the little scabs for a few days. Some sunscreens are 75 and would be more than enough for an hour's walk, especially before 10:00 am.
I appreciate your suggestion, but inside the house I have to cover up as well (skin is thinner than tissue paper and will tear from even a brush against a hard surface) so I know myself, changing into shorts and t, putting on sunscreen, before I went out would be just that extra bit of friction that would keep me from going. Better that I just try to get out of the house earlier!
