Wishing you luck on catching up on your writing today! What all you do is so inspirational. I'm "thinking" of writing for Substack too, but not sure how to get started, and if I haven enough to keep the momentum going. Do you think beginning once per week is good? Then maybe adding a mid-week post if it all goes well? I'm worried about sending an initial post to my email list. What if they don't like it? Eeek. Maybe I'll just read yours.
Once a week is fine, in fact probably preferable, none of the advice advocates more than that. I just didn't want to disappoint people who got used to seeing my "daily diary" posts on Facebook. But it is one of the reasons I have tried to come up with a schedule, so people who particularly like my Historical Tidbits, or my recommendations posts, etc can feel comfortable just reading them and not feeling over whelmed. I really do enjoy posting, so I would say, go ahead! Even if you found twice a month more to your liking, that would be fine and dandy.

It also occurs to me that if you have a blog, you can use material (past or present) from that and repost.
Yes, I have a book review blog of my own, and share a writing blog with 7 other writers. I coould do that too! Thanks.
PS: I love author Amy Stewart's Substack posts (monthly?) They are so INTERESTING!! I would recommend hers.
