Daily Diary, Day 998:
In terms of my writing goals, I didn’t make as much progress on the actual short story as I had hoped. On the other hand, I definitely did a fair amount of writing, between the post last Saturday examining my publishing expectations, the two character biographies, the newsletter I finished and posted during the week, and the fairly long recommendations post I wrote yesterday. So, word-wise, I suspect I did meet my informal goal of 500 words a day.
I also settled into a very good exercise routine, splitting my walks into two, thirty-minute walks, which seems to have helped protect me against increasing my aches and pains. I maintained an average of 80 minutes a day exercise for the full week, walking six of the seven days.
This coming week, I have the usual zoom and phone meetings scheduled, as well has having someone who is going to come out and descale our tankless water heater (house maintenance really does seem to be an on-going requirement at this stage in the home’s life cycle--it is 50 years old.)
However, I hope to continue on my exercise regime and perhaps increase my pace in terms of writing the short story. I only have one more biography I am committed to writing. Today, I already have written 730 words, and I am a paragraph away from finishing scene 4. So, my intention is to get this scene posted tomorrow and finish and post scene 5 by the end of the week.
But now time for second walk. We actually had sun for most of the day today, and here are some lovely roses from my morning walk.
