I'm reading Mary Anna Evans' latest (an ARC) and getting ready to start up my sourdough starter again after a month's furlough! Being raised in the bay area across the bay from SFO, I am looking forward to a re-read of your novellas as well. I am swimming for exercise these days, at 70, walking is too hard on my titanium knees!
Good luck on the sourdough. We used a starter for decades, brought it from Ohio to California, then some time let it go, just used yeast. My husband decided to start this again about six months ago, because of my blood sugar issues, its wholewheat based, and I am really enjoying having my slice or two a day.

I've got blood sugar issues too, and sourdough is so gentle on the digestion!
