YAY! I especially love the whack a bed and it falls apart. If only these things could always be this easy. Reminds me of the time when I was an older teen and bought myself a water bed. I didn't realize I was going to have to put the frame together! This was before the days of everything gets assembled at home and the frame was solid hardwood with NO instructions. Oh my. I didn't know there was such a thing as a power screwdriver and screwed in all the bolts by myself by hand. I had very sore hands, but it was so very satisfying to plop and float on that bed.
We still don't have a power screw driver, of it we did, it is undiscoverable. We always say would should get one--like when putting together the dresser... but then forget.
Can’t tell you how many times we have taken beds apart to move or store ! And then had to put them back together again ( find all the screws etc and other parts) so yes the power tools are certainly a bonus benefit, and also ziploc bags that have been labelled.
I love that Leeds’s bed blanket matches the new big bed🥰 Look very comfortable.
I can definitely relate to your experience today. My tough task was not with a large bed, but rather an artificial Christmas tree that was no longer being used. It was stored up in the attic. Fortunately it is in three pieces. However, I had to carry each piece down the ladder from the attic and then bring it down out to the curb for trash pick up tomorrow. Not only did I have to do that, but I had to break down the very large shipping box that it was stored in. It’s 2/3 done, but my back was crying out enough. Like you I overdid it. I’m about ready to put on an ice pack. Although I’m hoping not to, I think I may have to take a couple of Advil. At least we have some results to show for our pain. P.S. The bed looks nice.
Sorry, yes take it easy. And right now I am almost done to the point where all that is left is what to do with all the old furniture, boxes, and bits and pieced of things that got pulled out of cupboards in the process. But not today!!!
King mattresses are the best. Real king, not California king. The whole point of buying a bed is to get it wider, not longer, if you share it with someone. Or even if you don't but have a habit of falling off the side, I guess.
Protip: if you and your sweetie disagree on mattress firmness, get a pair of single beds and frames and the specially-cut piece of foam that fills in the gaps.

When we were kids, we thought adults could do anything . . . No problem!
