I am living proof that you can survive without chocolate. Somewhere around 40 I had a bite of milky way....and went into full asthmatic coughing. Nah, couldn't be. So next day after eating nothing else for some 12 hours...I had a bite of chocolate.....cough, cough, try to breath, cough--yep allergic to chocolate. I even tried hot chocolate...yep trying to breathe again. I Prefer to breath. So no more chocolate. AND they are adding chocolate to EVERYTHING...especially Easter, Valentine, Halloween, and Christmas. Even adding it to granola bars! Not Happy about this! ps I asked my family who would make chocolate chip cookies to make me the cookies without chocolate, then add the stuff to the cookie dough after making mine. That works! (73 now!)

Ouch, I can imagine how upsetting that would be to have this happen when you were used to being able to eat it. There are so many things I can't safely eat now that I've grown accustomed to not paying attention to what I can't eat, and rejoice in the things I can.
