These are some of my favorite type of roses. Thank you for sharing your pic! Good to hear that your household is getting back in shape. I forgot to mention that I like your new water dispenser, Quite lovely! We have huge military helicopters flying very low after dark over the house. These are new pilots practicing. UGH! As much as I wish we were not on their flight path, I wish even more that they would not fly over what is left of our ancient forests. And yet, I am glad for our remarkable military keeping in shape for whatever they may be needed for. Life is so darn complicated, isn't it.

Glad to hear that you’re getting the finger repaired, but I expect that will be quite uncomfortable. Beautiful roses!

I understand your feelings about the loud airplanes over your house. In the mid-1970s we lived near an air force base and had military cargo planes coming over either taking off or landing. (We joked that we might have tire tracks on our roof. lol). Then we lucked out and lived at the US Air Force Academy and had a backyard seat to watch the Thunderbirds practice. I loved this! But then the accidents happened and they no longer practiced over the houses. Now we are north of Dallas, Texas on the flight path between a highway and a hospital with helicopters coming over. Flying fast and sometimes low. I really like your new water dispenser and the rose was gorgeous. Thank you for your daily news, I really enjoy reading them.

I lived in a couple of neighborhoods in Brooklyn that were under the path of commercial flights to the airports in northern Queens. It wasn't too bad, you get used to it. Airplanes have crashed in residential neighborhoods in NYC more than a few times, though not recently. The worst was in late 2001, when we were all already traumatized by 9/11.

Would love to know the veggies you use in your salad, as mine seem boring and I overuse dressing !

Here is the link to the post I did on this salad, at the bottom I list what I put into it. Occasionally I also put in raw cauliflower! https://marylouisalocke.substack.com/p/november-15-2023-my-favorite-things
