Ladybugs cheer me up, too. Each fall we have a few days when they congregate in mass on the south wall of our white two story house. Usually there are a few with only one black spot on each wing and also a very few black ladybugs with red spots! Occasionally a few ladybugs manage to make it into the house. I have found if I turnoff all of the house lights when the sun is going down and open a window or door, the ladybugs will all fly outside where it is still slightly light with the sunset. This is a good thing to know!

Such a lovely image of them flying outside...and the red against the white house. Thanks for sharing.

I can't remember the last time I wrote 1000 words in a day on my WIP. I write considerably more than that in a day, but with deep regret it's on other projects churned out just for £/$. The result is the joy of writing historical fiction is under threat so an exit strategy from other journalism may be necessary. You may have to send me a red cross parcel though! Keep up with your astonishing positivity, it works for me :)

Most days I am lucky if I get 400-600 words on the manuscript, but it always goes faster towards the end of the draft. but I am glad to be in inspiration!
