Your life is certainly not boring! Good shot of orange flowers.

I gave up on taxes and simply gather my forms together and throw them at an agent who I've worked with for a few years. She's my age and we have similar interests and senses of humor, so it actually makes the process as painless as possible. Plus some of my needed forms never come in much before early March (grrr) so no point in trying it now.

Tomorrow I will be having lunch with a dear friend and her son who married an Aussie so isn't here much. Looking forward to it.

My night stand is small with no plugs, but my dad built it for me decades ago so I'm holding onto that. He was a good woodworker for things that didn't need carving or curves and did a nice job on the staining. It survived unscathed for a long trip in a moving van and later some teen boys in a U-Haul, so I'm sure it'll get me by for the rest of my life.

we actually do hire a tax accountant, the work I do is primarily putting together all the business stuff, because as an indie author I spend money on production, costs, all the hardware and software to publish the book all the marketing expenses, and then since my home is my place of business, putting together all the stuff that goes into doing deductions there. It is worth paying the professional to judge what is legitimate expenses and not. But this can take a couple of days, trying to remember that this strange name on a credit card bill is the name of a promotion site (smile.)

Even my taxes are a bit much because my investments, however few, all need at least one, often different form.

I had a dear friend I didn't hear much from between Jan. 1 and April 15 every year because she was a tax accountant. Occasionally she'd phone during that period just to talk to me about things unrelated to numbers.

My lunch was lovely, we ordered in and sat on the back porch. So glad it didn't rain. We all had leftovers for dinner too.
