Sorry you are suffering more injuriess. I am recovering from carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand which has making so many things difficult. Since it is the second time for this the surgery is more difficult and will take an estimated 6 weeks to fully recover. So I can fully appreciate your problems. At least I am fully retired and have only our tax preparations to be done. Thinking good thoughts for you. Barbara
Hope the healing goes fast, and I know that having splints on both hands just makes everything more difficult. And Yikes, yes I need to start getting stuff together for taxes.
Cold is here farther north as well, with winds arriving (at least they're from offshore). Frost warnings! And no rain either for at least the rest of the month. I don't need a weatherman to tell me the barometer is dropping, my joints do.
I'm a slow healer, so no longer having a cat deploying his murder mittens when jumping up is a small plus to offset the great minus of missing him. In case another kitty finds me, how do you deal with claws?
There's nothing like a good primal scream, as we used to call it.
I miss my cats as well, but not their scratches, which tended to get infected...which started the loop of antibiotics...then tendonitis. One thing I seem to still have going for me is that while I wound easily, I also heal fairly rapidly...where there is any flesh below the skin. But the shin? Well, maybe it will prove me wrong. At this point, my hands and lower arms are a patchwork of thin white lines from the scars from literally dozens of those triangular tears. Learning about steri-strips after the last cat infected wound about ten years ago has been a life-saver!
I've been getting by with regular bandaids and antibiotic cream. The ones that are just claw punctures, steri-strips wouldn't help (I use those little round ones) but I'll keep those in mind if I am acquired by another kitty.
Even the small punctures always took forever on my shins and hands; nothing much to supply blood for healing there.
I’m sending you a great big mama bear hug right now!
Thanks!
Hugs (soft ones) for you. Just remember, it WILL get better!
Thanks, I know, and more annoying than anything else.

Oh, I do sympathize. But at least your toaster works!
Yes! Got to count my blessings (smile)!

A howl and some sobbing are just right sometimes!
Yep!
