Daily Diary, May 2, 2022, Day 610: While it is taking longer than I thought it would (surprise, surprise), I did make progress on my task of reviewing the first chapters of the novella this weekend. I completed my edit of chapters 1-6, doing a lot of to fill in details, cut extraneous sentences, and expand on a minor plot thread. The result was just shy of 1000 new words written.
I found it interesting of your perspective & thoughts on a subject. Sometimes I get into the story of your books so much that I don't realize some of the ramifications of important details. So I enjoyed this topic very much.
It is fun to read snippets and thereby catch a glimpse of the book to come. Thanks for sharing. 👏🏾
I do like the snippets - it was like visiting an old friend when you brought in the quote from Maids of Misfortune. And, as Jolin stated, it highlighted the importance of that scene which I'd previously overlooked. And, as Renee wrote, getting a glimpse into the future is delightful!
I especially liked reading how your stories and researches (is that a word?) dovetail into each other. Thank you for sharing that!
I love the little snippets. It makes me want to go back to the books and see if I can find the place in the book.
I'm enjoying your Daily Diversions and like seeing the literary bits from your perspective. Thanks. Looking forward to more. :-)
I enjoyed the snippet. Please continue this practice. I can’t wait to read the book. I also enjoyed the reference to Maids of Misfortune and how it highlighted the point you were making.
I enjoy your snippets! They give me a better sense of the times.
