Weekly Writing Intentions: September 3, 2022
Daily Diary, Day 732:
Despite the heat and several doctor’s appointments, this past week was successful in terms of reaching my writing and exercise goals. I wrote 5,962 words, and after six weeks, I have 36,103 words and almost 12 chapters written in the new novel, Against the Tides of Acerba.
I also achieved my 90 minutes of exercise for all but one of the days, when an early dentist appointment meant no morning walk, so I just got in 35 mins cleaning and doing Physical Therapy exercises.
We are going into another long week of even hotter days. What makes matters worse is that we are not cooling down much in the night (which is what usually makes the hotter days bearable because opening everything up at night helps both sleeping and starting the day off cooler.)
So, if last night is any predictor (lost a couple of hours of sleep), I will be very surprised if I reach either my writing or exercise goals this coming week. But I will try. And week after next it is supposed to cool down a bit.
Because of the heat, I am also not going to expect to accomplish much else. Will stick to short daily posts and not doing anything beyond routine marketing activity.
In short, my intentions for next week are modest, like these sweet blooms below.
How about you all? Any particular goals for the coming week that you would like to share?
