Weekly Writing Intentions: December 17, 2022
Daily Diary, Day 837: Well, that week did not go as planned. And I don’t even know why. I did have a lot of phone calls, but frankly, taking the week as a whole, no more than usual. I did have some marketing activities related to dropping prices on audio and ebooks to prepare for a number of promotional activities, but again, this sort of activity happens all the time. I even wrote every day. But the word counts were abysmal. By the end of yesterday, I only wrote 2612 words, half of my target of 5,000 for a week.
Wait, if I include the words written for the five “My Favorite Things” posts I did this week, the total might have been much higher, because in general these were longer posts than usual.
Brief break to calculate!
I just added up word count for the 5 posts and the total was 4076 words. So, if I add them to my weekly total, I actually wrote 6688 words, a very respectable amount!
All right, I now feel better.
So, my intentions for this coming week are to try to write more on my novel and perhaps write shorter posts on my favorite things, but not give myself a hard time as long as the total number of words is respectable.
On exercise, I actually did well, considering there were several days with rain where I didn’t walk. I averaged 77 minutes of exercise a day for the full week.
The walk today was glorious. Only in high 40s when I set out, but such a clear sky, could see the mountains really well, and lovely scattering of clouds. For some reason the crows were particularly active, lots of them, and one very large one flew over my shoulder and landed about 2 feet from me. I stood for a while and admired him.
Great-niece and her fiancé on the way over for a visit, so I need to get this posted. Hope you all enjoy your day.
