Weekly Writing Intentions: April 29, 2023
Daily Diary, Day 970:
I am still waiting to get the proofed copy of Tides of Acerba, which could come any day, but I do feel like I am ready to move onto the second stage of my launch to-do list as soon as it arrives.
Reviewing last week, I did well, despite lingering aches, in terms of exercise, with average of 75 minutes a day, 4 of the days walking, getting up to 40 minutes, and adding my Physical Therapy exercises back in.
Otherwise the week was a bit of a hodgepodge. First I finished my edit and sent off to proof reader. Then I spent several days reading my friend's manuscript. Next I worked on my publication task to-do list, and started on writing my mini-biographies for the short story.
This coming week will depend a good deal on when I get the proofed copy back. At that point, most of my time will be spend working through the to-do list systematically. Until that time, I am going to continue to work on the mini-biographies. Once they are done, I will go back to finishing outline of the short story.
For exercise, slow and steady. Today I walked 40 minutes, but no PT, tomorrow is my major cleaning downstairs, so I will do PT, but no walking. Monday through Thursday, I will try to slowly get the walk up to 50 minutes, doing the PT every other day.
Next Friday, if all goes well, going out to lunch with old friends from my work. We will meet at an restaurant that has outdoor eating, I will stay masked - and probably skip eating, but it will be nice to see the four of them, since I haven't seen them since Covid started. I am keeping my fingers crossed the weather isn't too hot or cold--and isn't raining.
It is still gray today, but nothing but pollen falling (and there is sure a lot of that in the air). Here is a plant I saw today, rather unique, with it's odd pink and yellow color combination.
