Daily Diary, Day 608:
Despite the trip to the dentist derailing my writing at end of the week, I did write enough last weekend so my average words written per day was 593. That’s made me optimistic enough to set 700 new words a day written as my goal for the coming week.
Today, I am going to concentrate on finishing the review I started of the first 8 chapters of Mrs. Stein Solves a Crime, as well as finishing a personal writing assignment that is due for a meeting Monday afternoon. As tomorrow is the beginning of the month, I also need to work on some graphics announcing for May discounts. It is also my deep cleaning day, and I’ve already started laundering all the hair-covered dog blankets in the house and thoroughly cleaned one room
Meanwhile, I want to hear from you all about what fun plans you have for this weekend?
You might consider going and downloading a free copy of the mystery, Bone Blind by Abigail Padgett which is free today and tomorrow on Amazon. I have been in a writers group with Abbie for over thirty years (and yes Annie and Nate’s daughter in my Victorian San Francisco mysteries is named for her) and she is a beautiful writer—with a uniquely wry and witty voice that I adore, whether she is writing a police procedural like Bone Blind, a literary mystery that brings an historian together with a vampire to solve a crime, in An Unremembered Grave, or her award-winning Bo Bradley mystery series with a bi-polar protagonist.
Leaving you with another gorgeous rose bush.
Hello dear Sister - Love to hear what you are about! Good for you for reaching your writing goals. My "fun" this weekend is preparing to go on a 4 day retreat alone with The Lord in the woods. It is a lovely time of prayer, reflection, reading and thought time. I very much appreciate having the time to prepare and pack for it.
