Daily Diary, Day 1123:
Yesterday felt like a busy but well-balanced day. I got in two walks, 25 minutes of chair exercises, and 657 words written, finishing another new scene. I also took a number of unscheduled phone calls where I felt helpful. This morning, I’ve cleaned and walked, and have just finished a scheduled phone call, which should leave me the afternoon to write.
The open rate for the newsletter post of chapter one of the Stars are Red Tonight has been quite good, so I trust that people are enjoying reading it. Chapter Two will go up tomorrow.
Yesterday evening on my walk, I saw my first two Halloween-decorated houses. I decided to wait until October First to start routinely posting them here. I never paid much attention to Halloween (or fall) decorations for houses until I started walking during Covid. That first fall after lock-down, people really went to town, decorating. I noticed last year that there weren’t quite as a many, certainly not many new ones. But I definitely appreciated the decorations because this is also the time of year when there aren’t as many flowers blooming, so it does add to the visual interest when I walk.
This morning on my walk it was misty, so I got a photo of a gigantic spiderweb (and victim, no spider) that I encountered I am sharing to get us all in the creepy crawly mood for the season.
Beautiful
Eerie but also wonderful! Reminds me of your dad’s poem!
