Daily Diary, Day 1094: Today's weather started out quite hot, so first walk of the day was rather uncomfortable. So still, so sunny. It is amazing the difference a breeze makes since my walk last evening after dinner, it was at least 10 degrees hotter than this morning, but there was a nice stiff breeze coming from the west (therefore cooled by ocean) so the walk was pleasant.
I was also pleased with my work yesterday, got the post I was working on about why I like to write novellas done and sent off to the person who had requested it (I will post on substack next month.) I also got part three of the historical tidbits on teaching drafted. Part two I actually put up here yesterday, but in FB's inexplicable wisdom, they decided to only have it show up on a less than a fifth of the newsfeeds than usual. So, if you are interested, you might go look for it.
Today, I am starting back to working on the novel, which after a number of days away from it is going slow, with me cutting more than adding. But, except for doing some exercises and a scheduled phone call this afternoon, I should get in a couple of more hours work. Also waiting for the landscape company that I have contracted to maintain the year to show up. they were supposed to come between 9 and 11, and it is now past 12. I don't mind if they are late, since they need to work us into their schedule, as long as they show up.
Last night we rewatched Gosford Park (one of our favorite directors- Robert Altman, and written by the Upstairs, Downstairs writer Julian Fellows) what a gem, but this meant we didn't get to the next episode of Only Murders in the Building, so looking forward to that tonight!
So, off toe get in some pilates, then lunch. I didn't see a single decent bloom this morning on my walk, but here is one from earlier in the week.
