Daily Diary, Day 1170:
We had lovely time with our visiting relatives, and the weather cooperated for sitting outside, sunny but not too cold. Then in the afternoon I had some marketing tasks to do, creating graphics for Facebook banners for the discounts on my audiobooks that started today.
On Chirp, the boxed set of the first four books in my Victorian San Francisco mystery series, is discounted to $1.99 and then I have discounted each of the remaining full-length novels in the series. What would normally cost $64.79 for all 8 novels in the series, now costs $21.92, and I am not sure when there will ever be a better deal on these audiobooks, so I hope people will take advantage of the deal.
I also had an unscheduled phone call yesterday, finished the new chapter I have been writing, and began to work on making changes to the subsequent 4 chapters that this new chapter has caused. Only 196 new words, but again, the goal is progress.
I also enjoyed reading some of the comments people did on the substack newsletter on my pets about their own pets.
I took my walk before dinner, with the gorgeous sunset you can see below, and then we watched the next to last in Robert Parker’s Jesse Stone series staring Tom Selleck. I like these, especially the supporting characters, including the dog.
This morning I had some preparation work for the CT scan, I have to fast for 4 hours before test (which meant no protein shake with my ½ of English muffin at 6 am) and right now I am drinking 8 oz of water. I had this test 2 months ago, so I know the test itself is simple. But it is at a clinic we’ve not been to before, some distance away, so I am having my husband drive.
I suspect there won’t be much time before lunch when I get home, plus I have a scheduled phone call in the afternoon, so again not a lot of writing time. But then again, the kind of editing I need to do for the next couple of days should be pretty easy.
So, off I go to get in a half-hour work, before we take off.
