Daily Diary, Day 1172: It rained really hard about 10 am yesterday morning, then a few sprinkles around 3:45 when I was out getting in second walk, and some sprinkles over night. Total accumulation less than an inch. Today you can see from photo there are still a few clouds left, but no promise of rain.
I got a good night's sleep, in fact slept so hard that I didn't hear banging that got my husband up. There was a young opossum on the fence, not the adult we have been seeing, and Leeza was on couch, so it wasn't her banging against the window at then opossum. I speculated that they might be trying to get into the neighbor's garbage bins. Not sure how they could get the lid up, but maybe in trying they created the bang. I hope it wasn't them, because I like having them visiting and cleaning out the very dregs of the bird seed each night, but don't want a nightly to-do that waking us or neighbors up.
Given the lack of sleep yesterday, which made me feel as if I was trying to think through molasses, I was pleased that I'd got even 200 words written. Today is my usual Thursday, which means about 4 hours in the middle of the day is then up with preparing for and holding a noon zoom meeting, plus an hour phone call scheduled after that meeting. Add the second walk, and I will be fortunate to get 2 hours of writing time.
In addition to the morning clouds above, here is a rose bloom with that vibrant color that comes with twilight from my walk the night before.
