Daily Diary, Day 1105: Writing went well yesterday, I got 970 words written, I am almost done with chapter 2, and I have slightly over 5,000 words written on the novel.
I am afraid I don't have high expectations for today, though. After I get up this post I will have less than an hour until a phone call that will last until lunch (old friend who I haven't talked to in some time.)
Then after lunch I have only about an hour and a half until another scheduled phone call.
Then again, since it is supposed to get up to 81 today, I won't walk after dinner which gives me another hour to work.
I didn't walk this morning. However, I spent well over an hour and a half cleaning downstairs, which left no energy for walking. That was just as well because it is overcast, very humid, not a smidgeon of breeze, and therefore pretty oppressive weather for walking. Wasn't all that pleasant for cleaning, either, but it hasn't hit 77 degrees inside, which seems to have become the temperature when we decide to turn on the A/C!
Last evening we saw that a movie we quite liked in the past had started showing up, I think on MAX, and we watched it. Pump Up the Volume, with Christian Slater, 1990, he's a young high school kid with a ham radio railing against the school, society, etc. With mostly Lou Reed and rap as background, it held up remarkably well-again if curse words don't bother you.
Sort of odd watching it when the most recent show Slater has been in that I have watched is Mr. Robot. In some ways he plays a a similar character in that TV show (which I would also recommend.)
Anyhow, this movie filled the evening nicely. Meanwhile, some lovely, clean white blooms to brighten up this overcast day.
Lovely blooms! I once planted an all white garden... Even at night, it was a sight! Thank you for sharing!
