Daily Diary, Day 755: Weekend was semi-successful in terms of writing, I averaged 875 words a day, which is pretty standard when I have been away from writing for awhile. I continued to do well with exercise, despite growing heat. Supposed to get to 90s today, so I got my walk done before 9.
This morning I've edited what I wrote yesterday, put up a post on the historical fiction blog I help run. It was a redone post from over 10 years ago about doing some of the research to describe a trip Annie and her maid take in my second book, Uneasy Spirits. Some of you might find this interesting, especially if you are curious about how I can describe the city streets when I don’t live in San Francisco, and I certainly don’t live there in the 1880s!
This morning I also had a phone call, did my cleaning and laundry, and after doing this post, it will be time for PT exercise and then lunch, and another morning gone. But, no phone calls scheduled for this afternoon, so I intend on getting my 1000 words written.
And these are the first of my orange photos. I think it is fitting that this seems to be the color that is predominating in the neighborhood this Fall.
I laughed when I read your post. I am a kindred spirit, comma who also loves getting lost in research. Running down rabbit holes because of some curious and surprising fact that you discovered. Great post!
