Daily Diary, Day 748:
Busy day today. First, off to get my Implanted tooth, implanted. Over 5 months with a missing tooth has been odd. Will my tongue know where to go once there isn’t a gap in my teeth to mindlessly stick itself into? And will I still do all my chewing on the right side of my mouth now that I can chew on both sides? Inquiring minds want to know.
Next, if there is time before lunch, a trip to the optical shop to look into what I can do about not being able to adjust to my new glasses. New frames? New prescription? New cost?
Then home for lunch, and a couple of scheduled phone calls. So, this may be a day with no exercise, no writing. But I did quite well this weekend, so I'm feeling ok about thatt. Saturday and Sunday I got nearly an hour and a half of exercise accomplished each day. I also wrote a total of 1958 words, finishing the long chapter I was working on. Amazing what the cooler weather has done for my mood and productivity.
With that chapter finished, it is now time for me to start outlining the next part of the novel, so today is as good a day as any for a brief pause.
And for those of you curious about what I did to give my home a little sense of fall, I didn’t get a scarecrow. The only one I found was over 5 feet tall, waaaay to big. So, I went for the wreath (see below), and I think it looks really nice with the blue of the door. I still might be on the lookout for something more Halloween-like to add to the front porch. Maybe a cute ghost?
