Daily Diary, Day 743:
Three unscheduled phone calls, plus the time it took me to draft and schedule my promotional newsletter that went out this morning, ate up most of my day yesterday, so I only got 595 words written.
But today the weather changed, and I've already written 300 words this morning!
It was only 69 degrees when I walked at 8. And it was still 69 degrees when I finished an hour later, and now near lunch time it has only crept up to 71 degrees! Heavenly coolness. The walk was quite delightful as a result, and I was walking so briskly that I had to add two small loops to my normal route so I wouldn't be home under 60 mins.
I had reconciled myself to trying to find interesting succulents to photograph, since even the bravest blooms had become tired looking. See this one I took, which I like because it has fall colors.
But then I saw my first Halloween decorations! I didn't expect any to show up until October, but maybe the householders were reacting as I was, being excited about the first day it felt like Fall.
The decorations were small and almost hidden away, as if the people were a little embarrassed by their enthusiasm, but I was delighted.
