Daily Diary, Day 1208:
Welcome, I’m Mary Louisa Locke, the author of the USA Today best-selling Victorian San Francisco Mystery series and the Caelestis Science Fiction series. In this daily newsletter, I reflect on my life as an indie author trying to age gracefully, including my struggles to maintain a balanced life, what I listen to, read, and watch for entertainment, and occasional bits of information I’ve gleaned from doing the research for my novels.
Well, the promised rain off and on yesterday did not materialize, which meant that I had no problem doing a morning walk and an afternoon walk. However, the clouds in the evening as the sun set were truly remarkable, as you can see below.
I did get just short of 500 words written. I also had a good talk with my author friend, with a suggestion on how to improve sales on GooglePlay, which have always been abysmal.
Otherwise, a very unremarkable but satisfying day.
Today I have no phone calls, so, besides the slightly longer Saturday cleaning of all the bathrooms, and putting away the groceries when they come, the rest of the day should be devoted to writing.
Oh, also a reminder that the smashwords sale, where all my books are 50% off is completing Dec 31, so if you, or a friend, are looking for something to read over the holiday weekend, I would go take a look.
