Daily Diary, Day 763: Yesterday was one of those days when an unexpected phone call pretty much upset all my plans. I was just starting to look at the pages I wrote on Sunday, getting ready to move forward, when I got a call from one of my favorite relatives. He is a dear, I love talking to him, and we can natter on and on. When we were done, I only had 20 mins before a scheduled phone call that took me all the way to dinner. After dinner, I used my half an hour before settling down to watch TV to start on the Historical Tidbits post I would like to get up this week.
And then the day was done. Unfortunately, I've had two nights in a row with some hours of sleep lost in the middle. Not sure why. Definitely wasn't the flu shot in the arm, that gave me no trouble at all. But one night short on sleep doesn't bother me, 2 in a row, and I can feel it.
I did get in my 60 min walk, but it took me 64 mins to finish because I was draggy (smile.) I did get the daily cleaning done, but again, I could tell I needed to concentrate so I didn't do something stupid like trip over the broom (smile.) Also ordered groceries which should be arriving soon, and then it will be lunch. Again I have a late afternoon phone date, one of my monthly calls with my oldest friend, so looking forward to that.
And who knows, maybe I will get some writing done. This morning, I did spend a few minutes coming up with fake names for a rodent and a parasite native to New Eden, that are going to be crucial to the story.
Here are some more photographs of yellow. Included the fire hydrant. When did they stop being red???
