Daily Diary, Day 762: Semi successful weekend writing, averaged 877 words a day, and I also did add in some more PT exercises to my walking and cleaning. This morning has been busy, got in only 50 min walk, so I could go off to the clinic to get my new glasses rechecked.
I was quite happy with this technician, who took a lot of time with me, both adjusting the frame some more, comparing the RX this time with old glasses, and recommending that I get a re-check on the RX. She wrote up a long description of what she found, what the dr should look at (possibility of prisms? different lenses?) and she did suggest that it could be I should get different frames (these are plastic, I usually have metal--and they seem to bend too easily, since this is 2nd time they had to be readjusted.)It isn't like I'm not careful with them.
Anyway, can't get the recheck on RX until end of the month, so I will have more time to see if this adjustment at least helps.
Decided to pop in and get my strong dose flu shot for seniors while I was there. I have my newest covid booster scheduled for next week and I was going to get both at the same time. But after people sharing on FB that doing both shots in same arm at same time not necessarily best way to do it because super sore, yet others sharing that having shots in both arms made it hard to sleep that night because couldn't sleep on either side, I decided to go ahead and space them out. Usually I don't have much of a reaction but sore arm for flu shots. Keeping fingers crossed.
Also got some cleaning and laundry done since I got home, and I should be able to get some writing done after lunch.
Meanwhile, I shifted over to yellow blooms on my walk this weekend, so here are some. Very cheery. I found it interesting that all three had some pink/red parts, although the over all color was yellow.
I have found that using a hot pad greatly reduces the soreness you may experience after vaccinations. Really makes a significant difference. 👍🏾
