Daily Diary, Day 780: Beautify day, started out cloudy, sun out now (with fog to the west over coast) and only 74 degrees. Perfect for my friend’s visit this afternoon (rescheduled from Weds during heat wave.) Shorter walk this morning, so I could get upstairs deep cleaning done before Rio the border collie came over to play.
I may not have too much time to write today, but I already have over 5500 words done for the week. YAY. Of course after this chapter that I am working on is finished, I have to outline the next chunk of chapters, which will slow me down a bit. Two steps forward and all.
The shedunnit podcast I listen to each day on my walk was about dogs as companions to detectives in mysteries. This really made me want to do another mystery - maybe another short story -with Dandy the Boston Terrier as key player. Then I can add in the dog that got introduced at the end of Mrs Stein Solves a Crime, a king charles spaniel. Hmmm. Something to think about writing when this novel is out being read by my beta readers.
As you can tell, feeling quite energized by the cooler weather. Here is a creepy set of skeletons for you today.
