Daily Diary, Day 776: Halloween Cats!
This is going to be a short update. I had a short writing day yesterday, only 377 words, although with a better day on Saturday, I still averaged over 734 words a day over the weekend.
However, because I have 2 long phone calls scheduled today, I decided to skip walk (I am giving myself 1 day a week off from walking) and try to get more written this morning than usual. Already have 311 words and over an hour to work before first phone call.
One of the things I did yesterday between phone calls was to experiment with my substack home page. I turned it into "a magazine format" and I put tabs for My Father's Poetry and Historical Tidbits. Click each tab and you can see all my posts on those two topics. I asked people for feed back on what they liked and didn't like on on my posts, and everyone seems to like the Historical Tidbits (so with this tab you can go and see if there are any you missed.) For the poetry, seems equally divided, those who really like, those who don't (usually because they don't like poetry in general.) Again, this should make it easy, particularly for any new subscribers, to go and catch up on what they missed. I will probably add Scientific Tidbits, and something that addresses the posts that is mostly for writers.
Let me know how you like the new look and functionality.
And here are two black cats for your enjoyment. Then, its going to be pretty much skeletons all the way, since that is the dominant decoration this year
.
I like it!
