Daily Diary, Day 770: Witches! What I found interesting is that there really aren't a lot of witches out there this season. They tended to be the big blow up type, which are not my favorite...and look quite sad when they are just big plastic heaps during the day when not blown up. I also noticed often just witches' hats on ghost bodies...what does that mean? Sort of a mixed visual metaphor. Or just witches hats. I was going to spread them out over 2 days, but decided to go with these representatives, unless some new interesting witch shows up between now and Halloween.
I'm off to get my Omicron booster in a bit, so I wanted to get this post done first thing. I have had some reaction with vaccine and boosters- chills, fever, headache- but only for 24 hours-so hope this is the most that will happen. But I did get another 1000+ words written yesterday, the full 90 mins of exercise, including PT, and at least have my 60 min walk done today, in preparation for possibility of taking most of the rest of the day off.
As a professor, exposed to hundreds of students a day in relatively crowded classrooms with limited ventilation, I was used to getting 3-4 colds a year, then in retirement, traveling to see my daughter 3-4 times a year (and exposed to grandkids) I followed the pattern. Never that bad--basically the 5-7 day variety-and I always embraced as a time I could coddle myself with binge reading. But with Covid restrictions, mild reaction to shots seem to be the only time in the past 3 years I've felt ill, so I guess in a way I'm looking forward to having an excuse to veg-out today. That really is rather pathetic! So maybe I should hope no reaction, but just plan on a day off anyway. (smile)
