Daily Diary, November 9, 2022 Day 799: Today was a much better day. Started with seeing the moon in a clear blue sky after two days of wind and rain.
Then I slowly got back into a rhythm for the day. I did a 40 min walk, which was thoroughly enjoyable because it was pleasantly nippy, everything very green for San Diego. The rose below that I photographed was a new bud, with some rain drops still on it.
I did some extra cleaning of dog blankets because some mud had been tracked in, but that gave me an extra 10 mins to add to my cleaning exercise. I also got in a pleasant phone call, got to talk about how to help rid a cat of fleas I do love to give advice (smile.)
And while the writing came slowly, which generally happens when I've had a couple of days break, I still did get 1116 words written, and after this post I might even get a couple more paragraphs done.
And while not completely pleased by the election, it wasn't as disastrous as it could have been.
Tomorrow, as usual, I have a noon meeting, but no scheduled phone calls, so I hope to get a little writing done in the morning. On the other hand, it looks like we may be able to pick the car up tomorrow afternoon, and return the rental car, so the afternoon might be a wash in terms of writing.
One thing I still need to work on is getting adjusted to the return to standard time. My husband has been crashing an hour early, so we are really still going to bed on day-light savings time. Unfortunately, that has meant that I keep waking up very early, this morning it was before 4, and not going back to sleep.
So, tonight I am going to try to stay up later, see if I can't nudge my body into the right rhythm. Of course the problem is that I'm tired because I didn't get enough sleep last night, so if he wants to head up to bed early again...I probably won't object (smile.)
