Daily Diary, Day 811: Feeling very good about writing and the new covers. While I only averaged 900 words a day through Saturday and Sunday, that was mostly because I did spend a good deal of time back and forth with my author friend on new covers for the Caelestis series book. And while I did a little more work on covers today, I did even more writing. I already have 1759 words, and I might get more done after dinner.
What helped, I think, is that it's now cool enough I can shift my walk to later in the morning, so I got started writing earlier, and already had 500 words written before my walk. Then when I got home, I did my cleaning, so I was back to writing again by 10:30, which meant I got more written before lunch, even with doing some more looking for images for the last cover.
Also, not a single phone call!!!
Now it's dinner time, and I'm hoping tomorrow will be just as productive.
Here is another picture of one of the trees I have been following the progress of its leaves turning. Notice the mountains in the very distance--which we can usually see only during Santa Ana conditions that we’ve had over the past few days, when the marine layer is blown out to sea.
