Daily Diary, November 11, 2022 Day 801: So there it is, below,, a photo of the new (used) car. All electric, Nissan Leaf, and given how seldom we drive, it may end up being our last car!
Not surprisingly, I finally had a very good night's sleep last night, including sleeping in until 5:30 (pretty much my usual wake up time), and I only woke then because my husband and our dog were getting up.
Had a lovely 65 min walk, got back in time to start laundry, Rio the border collie came to play, and Leeza and he played harder than they had all summer. They definitely seem to like the fall weather. Then a scheduled phone call, and I spent the time before lunch finishing up on a writing assignment I needed to do before Monday.
Between a face to face meeting with a friend (who is also my copy editor for my books) that I am really looking forward to, tomorrow, and two scheduled phone calls Sunday, including a phone date with my oldest friend--and we often talk for 2 or more hours, and then two long phone calls scheduled for Monday, I decided that I shouldn't try to get right back into NaNoWriMo level writing until Tuesday. But I will take more about that tomorrow in my Weekly Writing Intentions post.
Meanwhile, I did a little editing in an early scene that I needed to change in order to do a set up for a future chapter, did a good deal more laundry, and now it is time for dinner! All in all a lovely and relaxed day.
The second photo is of some crows who were busy, a few minutes ago, eating the old dried up olives that were on the ground in our front yard. Before the time change, each evening they gathered to the west of us in preparation for their evening roosting in the canyon. But I have noticed that they suddenly have started showing up in our neighborhood in the late afternoon. I'm thinking this might be because we are getting the sun that little extra hour since we are a little higher than where they had been gathering, Will be curious if this because a winter pattern.
