Daily Diary, Day 1134:
Yesterday was one of those days that got chopped up into unexpectedly small increments of time, so while I didn’t get any more writing on the novel done, I did make good use of those bits of time working posts for the next couple of weeks, which should buy me writing time down the road.
What happened yesterday was that I had a covid shot scheduled for late afternoon, which required me to shift a usual phone call from late afternoon to before lunch. This wiped out the rest of the morning. Then, after lunch, I decided since I didn’t walk in the morning, and I might not feel up to walking after my shot, I would take my walk before the shot. Then an unscheduled phone call right before that walk, and suddenly the afternoon was gone. So, total for the day was 187 words.
But, today, I have already cleaned, done my morning walk, taken two phone calls, had the weekly doggie play date with Rio the border collie, and gotten 176 words written. And, as of right now I have no more anticipated phone calls or other excuses not to get back to my writing sprints.
My left arm is a bit sore from the shot, but it didn’t bother my sleep, and doesn’t interfere with my typing, so that’s good.
It was another foggy morning, and the continuation of a cooling trend (didn’t need the A/C yesterday), but the sun is already out, and while it was not supposed to get higher than 71 degrees today, our local weather station says it is already 74. Basically lovely weather.
As expected, this weekend saw a couple more houses in the neighborhood putting up Halloween decorations, and I am continuing on concentrating on ghosts! I take a photo of this first one every year because it is such a favorite with me! Just plain cute! The other one is more on the scary side!
Right on with the ghosts!
They are both cute! Love it!
