Daily Diary, Day 1155: Yesterday I did get some writing done, 637 words, as well as second walk (only 20 minutes because I delayed too long chatting with a neighbor and the sun had already set by the time I headed out), and my scheduled phone call.
Since it got into high 70s yesterday, we left windows open over night and it was 60 degrees in the house when we got up (47 outside) so we got to turn on the new heat pump furnace system. Like the A/C function, the furnace is very quiet, works efficiently, and got the heat up up quickly. So we are very happy over all with this expensive purchase this year.
It is another sunny day, will probably get in high 70s again, very clear, and is supposed to get into low 80s Tuesday and Wednesday. In short, really beautiful weather for Halloween (unlike much of US which is going to have a freezing spell.) But just keeping fingers no wild fires in region.
Today is one of those days where I won't get much writing time. I've already done my cleaning and 40 minute walk, Rio has been over to play with our dog Leeza, and they actually played a bit with each other rather than doing the kind of parallel play they have been doing the past year. I've had one unscheduled phone call already, with another scheduled one for after lunch, then a zoom meeting at 4. So busy day!
But a scheduled phone call for tomorrow has been canceled, so I hope I can make up for the lack of writing time today, then.
I will also leave you with a couple of spider decorations, which along with ghosts and skeletons, seem to be a big theme this year for Halloween.
Congrats on the writing!!!!! That is huge!
