Daily Diary, Day 1092: As predicted, it is much hotter today than it has been for at least a month. It's already in mid 80s (I know, I know, this is nothing compared to what people have been experiencing in much of southwest and recently in the pacific northwest), but it does mean I will not be walking this evening and we have already turned on our A/C.
I did get my cleaning and my walk in early today, when it wasn't too unpleasant, and I am trying to make up the lack of second walk by upping my inside PT and chair pilates exercises.
I didn't get any writing on the novel done yesterday, and since I am trying to finish a post I promised another author for their newsletter, and have an afternoon phone call scheduled, I probably won't get anything written today. Oh well.
I have also stopped obsessively looking at my sales numbers. This morning I did look and saw that I had sold 50 additional copies of Dandy and the Dognappers yesterday, and those sales plus the promotion of Maids of Misfortune the day before had bumped up my overall sales for the day (which we call sell-through) which was very nice.
I would expect that the sales of the novella will drop considerably today, but that is to be expected. Time for it to start being simply part of the series, so as people finish earlier books in the series, they hopefully will see this book listed and give it a try. That is why it was important for me to update the buy links in all the books ahead of time.
Ok, time for exercise and lunch. Here are some more gorgeous roses I saw yesterday, which I suspect will be wilting in this heat.
So beautiful!!
Congratulations! I am so happy for you on the success of D&D leading where you hoped it would...sell through! It's fun to write, but it can also be fun to track success. Beautiful flowers
