More talk about the weather, and a squirrel!

Daily Diary, Day 976: Weather had a large effect on today. I was supposed to have my first public outing (in the outdoor section of a restaurant) with friends from work I hadn't seen in 3 years, but this got rained out (rescheduled for next Friday when it is supposed to be sunny and 70!)

And it rained off and on the whole time the border collie Rio was over to play. He was ok with it as long as my husband threw the toy bone for him, but our Leeza huddled under the deck, decidedly not liking the weather, and Jim and Rio's owner got a bit damp.

Cleaned, ordered and put away groceries, had a brief phone call in the morning and one after lunch, and actually got my first 2 paragraphs written on the short story.

Now, that there is some sun, still clouds—but to the north east, I am going to go out and walk for 40 minutes. Then, who knows, maybe I'll read for an hour before dinner and call it a good day. Oh, here is a rose from walk earlier this week, and squirrel from yesterday. He let me come right up to the window to take the photo, cheeky fellow.
