Daily Diary, Day 638: Pleased to say I got a total of 1869 words written over the weekend. If all goes well, I should get some good writing time done today and tomorrow, so I hope to keep up the momentum. Also did maintain my level of exercise, although I have been feeling draggy in the morning so I am continuing to break up my walks into two, morning and then afternoon.
Rio the border collie came to play this morning. They got in some good runs, although somehow they found a hole in the new lawn that they both felt the need to dig, put their noses into, and eat the dirt. What is that about? Made sense when they did this with gopher holes, but what made this tiny patch of new lawn so tasty?
Finished listening to science fiction audiobook, Klara and the Sun. It was intriguing, but overall a sad book. So, this morning, deciding to lighten my mood in what is a rather melancholy holiday, in the midst of a melancholy week, I searched for some Georgette Heyer audiobooks.
There weren't a lot on either Chirp or Libro, which are my go-to's for audiobooks, but possibly my favorite, Cotillion, was there. So, I started listening to that this morning. The narration is well done, and I am thoroughly enjoying it.
Thought I would change things up and give you a sunflower that is on my walk, in another bid to lighten the day.
Thanks for this sunflower, definitely a mood lifter. Nice way to start a new week.
