Daily Diary, Day 987: Whoops, just noticed the time, and I need to get this post out because I still have my second 30 minute walk to do before dinner. I truly am not entirely sure what I have accomplished today! I did clean, and do one load of laundry.
Some sort of inspector came to check to make sure that the ductwork and heat pump system was up to snuff (so my job was to keep Leeza on the leash). We got her during Covid, so she really isn't socialized to handle people inside the house, and gets quite upset when my husband goes out of view--for example when showing the technician where the access panel is to the attic, even for a second. She squeals this high-pitched squeal!
I ordered a new non-stick fry pan, but surely that didn't take long. Oh, I remember. Spent an hour or so trying to sort out categories, updated Tides of Acerba categories, and I hope this will settle the query I got from Kindle on this.
I also did filled out the outline for the next scene in the short story, and for some reasons that did send me to a document I keep for more ideas in the Victorian mystery setting. This, in turn, reminded me that there was snow in San Francisco in December of 1882 (I'd put in a link some time ago) and how surely I could come up with a short story about that!
And suddenly the afternoon had slipped away!
Speaking of snow, here is a photo I took during morning walk of a succulent where the flowering part looks a lot like it has had a dusting of snow! Never noticed this on my walk before.
Lovely to read your daily "diversion"! We too have dogs who are to enthusiastic when people come to our house. Most don't mind but it is not always a good thing when there are two 70+ pounds dogs jumping up on you :-). And your day is like so many before us, passing away with everything and "nothing". Categorizing is sometimes not the most exciting but definitely the most rewarding, well at least I think that. Looking forward to the coming "diversions".
