Daily Diary, Day 934: Another relatively quiet day. I did actually get a couple of hours reading in yesterday afternoon after all my meetings were over, and I hope to do the same this afternoon. Unfortunately, feeling under the weather, not quite sure why, except that perhaps the last round of antibiotics may have not done the trick, so waiting for call back from nurse.
The weather itself is sunny and is supposed to remain so until Wednesday. Perfect timing because on Monday we are having old solar panels upgraded and additional ones put in to be able to handle our EV charging and the installation of a heat pump sometime this spring. Doing our bit not to contribute to climate crisis.
This morning, we had this visitor below. Seemed to be digging at something in the front yard. Thankfully Leeza was inside, and for a minute just stared out the back sliding glass window in disbelief. Then she banked against it and the skunk very awkwardly ran away. Thank heavens, didn't spray. We don't see these very often, but we have also had dog's sprayed, and boy is that a terrible experience for all.
Hope you all have great weather and some fun things planned for the weekend.
We used to have skunks come around so often that my husband bought a raccoon trap and lined it with metal. He managed to catch 64 over a few months time. Once in the trap it was dark and they would go to sleep. He took them up in the hills and released them. We kept track with tiny pictures of a cartoon skunk on th inside of the garage door much like the crews of bombers during WWII
