Daily Diary, Day 931: So, I have finished going through the manuscript, corrected the errors my husband found, including a continuity problem I am so glad he noticed. Didn't take a lot of work to solve, but it would have been embarrassing if it had slipped through. Right now the body of the book is 105,100 words, forty chapters.
I need to work a little on front and back matter tomorrow morning, reach out to beta readers to see what format they want the manuscript to be in, and if they are still good with giving me feedback in the next two weeks. Then I will send it out.
Looking forward to it being out of my hands for a couple of weeks. But boy am I tired. There is a level of concentration that this kind of editing requires that is different from anything else. But a good rainy day for it.
Now to watch something mindless on TV, so I can get to sleep tonight and not dream of editing.

Glad you’re on the homestretch! Do take some time to rest and refresh yourself, we can all wait an extra few days or so for the book. No fair burning out! 😊
I hear you! Mindless can sure be good for us these days!
