Daily Diary, Day 920: Just as the weather site predicted, it started to rain at 3 pm, although it was chilly and gray all day. Now, it's a gentle rain, but is supposed to be pretty steady all night until about 10 am tomorrow morning. San Diego doesn't seem to be looking at any flooding, beyond what increasingly seems to happen in some areas every time it rains. The problems are up north.
But I did get in my walk before lunch, 50 minutes, and I was able to take the scheduled phone call during that time, which worked well.
That has left me a very good day for working, and I have already cut 2600 words. I am particularly pleased today that the cutting has been primarily a word here, a paragraph there, nothing major. This means the editing is more at the level of polishing and getting rid of anything that slows the pacing down. I should be able to finish the chapter I am working on before dinner, which leaves me 11 chapters more to edit.
I will, however, be ready for a quiet night of TV. Last night, we finished Poker Face, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and the latest episode of Star Trek: Picard. Not sure what is on the agenda for tonight, but given the weather, seems like it should be a mystery.
I'm not even going to try to name this bush, but it is pretty.
