Daily Diary, , Day 1007: It is already after lunch, and I haven't done any writing yet today. I did clean, walk, and have an hour and a half scheduled phone call, and I have been trying to figure out how to pare down what I want to say in the scheduled zoom call at 3:30 that is supposed to convince people to sign up for my self-publishing work shop. Brevity has never been my strong suit.
I did get over 500 words written yesterday in the start of scene 7 in the short story, and the next few days I don't have anything scheduled, so I should be able to catch up on my writing.
We watched Oceans Eleven last night. Not quite sure why, although it did keep my interest, but I definitely feel we have hit the summer doldrums in terms of finding anything new we want to watch.
As my husband scrolls through looking for something I find myself humming the Bruce Springsteen song, "57 Channels and nothing on"...smile.
Now, I'm going to post this, and then practice my zoom pitch, then maybe even write a few paragraphs. Looking forward to the second walk, because today the sun is definitely out (actually came out before lunch!) Here is a photo from this morning's walk, actually from our one rose bush.
Wishing you all the very best with the Zoom time!
Such a beautiful Yellow Rose!
You are truly a great writer!! Your books keep my interest from beginning to end!! I just finished Tides of Acebra! Couldn’t put it down. Never start a book near bed time! Ha! I have read all of your Sc Fi and all of Victorian San Francisco Mysteries! They are mind expanding! I also have pre-ordered all that are available!!
