Daily Diary, Day 667: Imagine me, sitting, exhausted, sweaty, arthritis throbbing. No scratch that, don’t, not a pretty picture. Despite promises of a cooling trend, it has just gotten hotter. Not the ideal time to be sticking my head into the backs of kitchen cabinets, scrubbing out the dust and little bits of fluff? crumbs? plastic? that seem to accumulate in the corners of cupboards and drawers.
Actually, I am pretty pleased at how relatively clean everything was, nothing disgusting or sticky. Because these tiny ants are an intermittent problem, we have been good over the years at putting all food stuffs in bins, but still, feels good to be almost done with all the major kitchen cleaning. I just have 2 skinny cabinets and the fridge to clean out and I will be done. Still some laundry, last minute stuff to do tomorrow, but my daughter and grandsons are flying in until about dinner time, so no rush.
And my last beta reader sat right down and read the story, and, except for one typo, he had absolutely no suggestions for changes, but he listed all the parts he really liked, which I can tell you, an author always loves to hear.
So, on Friday I will send off to the line editor, but I don’t anticipate having to make many more changes at this point.
Ok, enough lolly-gagging around. Need to make up one more bed, and put in another load of laundry before lunch. I liked these two shy little blossoms, all by themselves.
I believe the flowers are Day Lillies. Pretty! Cupboard cleaning is a workout! Glad your family will be there soon. 😊
