Daily Diary, Day 1031: Another good night's sleep, so I feel like I am finally making up for the deficit. Finished the outline for my workshop and my accompanying handout this morning, and I have started on one of the two posts I would like to get done before the workshop on Saturday so I can include links in the handout.
Got in walk this morning before the sun came out of the clouds, so not too warm (this is much more back to normal weather, with clouds that burn off early, then don't come back until around dinner time.) And I should have time after a scheduled phone call to get in my second walk and maybe even some PT exercises.
Last night we watched first episode of a new French female police procedural on Acorn, but it was pretty slow going, so I will wait and see until we've watched a second episode to see if I can recommend.
The landscapers spent a very long time digging out a stump in the front yard (belonged to a huge pine we had to have cut down years ago because it was 1) pushing up huge chunks of sidewalks and driveway (we then had to replace both sidewalks) and 2) it was leaning so was a hazard because if it fell it would have taken out the house. Anyway, huge stump, and there was some talk about getting a stump grinder, but instead they went at it with picks and finally disconnected it from any of the old roots and were able to pry it out of the ground. Really pretty amazing.
Now they are building a new short wall to contain the raised bed next to the sidewalk. Despite several repairs, the old one was rickety and we decided it was time to replace with something that will hopefully last the rest of the house's life time. That has been our goal of late, to do what needs to be done with the house so that at least for the rest of our life-time, there aren't any other large projects required.
Here is another set of pink blooms. I showed the plant, then a close up of a bloom to see if anyone can identify. Now I am going to get some more work done before my phone call.
