Daily Diary, Day 666: I finished the second draft of the novella and sent it off to a final beta reader who wasn’t able to get to the first draft, so he will get to read this one. I’m delighted, because if I did a good job smoothing out the sections I worked hardest on, he might not even mention them. If he still has trouble, then this means I need to work on these sections more.
Then I watched the January 6th hearings. Wow.
After lunch, I will get back to cleaning the kitchen, and working through washing bedding and towels to get ready for my daughter and grandsons’ arrival on Thursday. Everything was in cupboards or in sealed plastic bags, but none of it has seen the light of day for the 3 years since they were last here, so I just feel better giving them a fresh launder!
Husband took in our 2007 Prius to be serviced this morning, again getting ready for the visit. Turned out it needed two tires and the replacement of shock absorbers. Not surprised and glad to get it done before our guests start driving/riding around in it.
Been too busy to walk, but it’s also been much hotter than usual, is supposed to start a cooling trend tomorrow. Thought I’d go for some purple blooms today.
