Daily Diary, Day 1030: Better night's sleep, so I am feeling much better today, and it is a lovely sunny day. I got in a walk, and I have been continuing to work on the workshop presentation and handout because, at this point, I am on a roll.
I also decided once this is done, to spend some time, probably tomorrow, rewriting a couple of posts I did on my old blog to put up on substack. I would like to reference them in my handout, but need to update and get rid of the stuff that is irrelevant at this point.
Then...back to working on the short story, which has at least temporarily passed into the novella length (although this could change in editing if I end up cutting stuff.)
The landscapers arrived in force this morning. I forgot to take a before photo, probably because I was sub-consciously embarrassed by how bad the yard looked covered in weeds. Once the workers are gone for the day, maybe I will take a shot to give a sense of what the process is. At this point, piles of weeds have been dug up and are in a dumpster, and a small wall has been demolished.
We finished Ted Lasso last night, and while these kind of tie up all the loose ends show isn't always my cup of tea, at least there was a satisfactory degree of closure. I think the next thing we may rewatch is Orphan Black, which I believe we've seen more than once, but it is so complicated that I assume we will enjoy again.
Here are some more pink blooms for you to enjoy!
