Daily Diary, Day 665:
Going to be a short post because I started doing the rewrite yesterday. The first 6 chapters went quite quickly, really only minor changes that were easy for me incorporate. This morning, I started on the seventh chapter, the one place most everyone felt was too complicated (no surprise to me, I knew this was going to be the place that needed more work, if only because it was too long.) I spent all morning, and I think I’ve got it, but this will then require me to tweak other parts of the manuscript. I think I will concentrate on those tweaks first, then go back and start working chapter by chapter again.
Meanwhile, last evening I found some ants in a cupboard that has food in it, so I am taking breaks from the writing and emptying all the cupboards in the kitchen, wiping down surfaces, making sure no crumbs, and moving things like rose vases and extra cups to storage in the laundry room.
These blossoms were from last week, but I really love the delicate pink perkiness of them.
Take it easy in your editing, we can all wait an extra day or two for Mrs. Stein. She doesn’t seem like the kind of lady that likes to be rushed! 😊 The geraniums are lovely, love the soft pink.
