Daily Diary, Day 663:
Waiting for the last beta reader to send feedback, then should be ready to rewrite. Been pecking away at getting ready for family's visit, like declutter bathroom counters to make room for 3 more people's stuff, and husband is taking a pile of stuff that's been sitting for months in the laundry room to Goodwill, etc.
Got in 50 min walk again this morning, and then watched dogs play. The bit of shade got smaller and smaller, so their runs and wrestling got narrower and narrower in scope to keep them out of the sun. You would think it was in the 100s, not just mid 70s!
Last night, we watched end of The Ipcress file, but I confess the ending left me a little puzzled. An example of where I really think it would have been easier to keep track of the plot if we had waited and binge watched it. Odd, sometimes I am happy to wait for weekly episodes, makes the enjoyment last. Other times, I much prefer to binge watch. I guess it is the same way with books. Right now I am on the 4th book in Doris Lessing's 5 book series...Children of Violence... that is basically a fictionalized autobiography of her growing up in colony of Southern Rhodesia. I am content to read about 15 mins a day-before bed, so I've been working on the books for months. Other books I have to read straight through in one day!
Today, a friend is going to come over to chat, and I have a phone call scheduled. Otherwise, rest of day pretty free. Working hard at managing my sadness about the health issues facing some family members, and the recent Supreme Court rulings.
Getting enjoyment out the sunshine, the dogs playing, and flowers helps.
