Daily Diary, Day 1023: I can't say I have gotten a lot of words written yet today, mostly because yesterday afternoon, after consulting a website that gave me the exact times the sun set (and twilight began and ended) in San Francisco in September 23, 1882 (I really do love the internet for having this information at my finger tips), I decided that the party at the Meyer house I had been describing needed to be a luncheon, not a dinner, otherwise there was no way for them to get to the park in scene 10 before it was dark.
That meant that today I had to go all the way back to scene 8, start changing words, and then this, of course, alerted me to other continuity issues that required changes...Well, you get the picture. So, it has only been the past hour that I have actually started writing new paragraphs in scene 10. And I will need to stop and go for a walk fairly soon, in order to have an early dinner, so that I am ready for a 5:30 phone call.
We finished season 1 of Lodge 49, and were enjoying it so much we immediately bought the second season. It was one of those tv shows that looked like it was prepared for a third season, but was canceled after 2. I am always ambivalent because there were a number of mysterious threads that could have continued, but then, sometimes by the third season, a show can start to go downhill. Do any of you have a favorite, limited season show, you really wish they had continued?
Anyway, I will leave you with another lovely bloom. I don't know why I like these hybrid, red and yellow roses, so much, but I do.
