Daily Diary,, Day 1017: I thought I had better pause in my writing and get this post up. With any luck I will get scene 9 done today, and since it has gotten pretty long, there is no chance I will be recombining it with scene 8.
I have written 638 words so far today, although I spent much of the last half hour going down a rabbit hole trying to figure out if the term flashy was in use in 1882, and what particular item of clothing might be considered flashy (smile.)
I am hoping if I get this scene done before my second walk, I can give scene 8 a quick reread tomorrow and get it up on Friday, then scene 9 on Sunday.
We watched an episode of the most recent Silent Witness available on Brit Box, a forensic based British show with 26 seasons, that we have a vague feeling we watched at some point. It was a multi-parter, and pretty slow, but i assume we will at least finish the next episode. Did make me think we should go see if CSI is available, we watched the first couple of years, but then stopped, and I've been curious about the seasons with Ted Danson, since we just finished watching some of Cheers, then all of the seasons of Becker.
If any of you have watched Silent Witness and have favorite seasons or characters (since there seems to be a lot of changeover in characters) let me know!
From my walk this morning, here is an Iris? Gladiola? that was so fragile and delicate looking, I just had to take a photo. Now, someone out there tell me which it is (or if I've got it completely wrong!)
CSI Las Vegas is available on Netflix and Paramount +. We’ve watched most of it and enjoyed it. Your flower is a gladiolua
Iris I learned about early! Dad loved them but it was up to me to weed them, grass loves to grow in their clumps. I weeded while my brother mowed, that way Dad had time to tend his roses.
